Job Description
Kainuun Opisto is a 117-year-old folk high school located in Paltamon Mieslahti. Our values are equality, social responsibility, and a sustainable relationship with nature. We organize basic education for adults, TUVA, and liberal adult education. Most of our students are immigrants. We are seeking an English and Swedish language teacher for our pedagogical team from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. English and Swedish are taught according to the curriculum for adult basic education. Language instruction is also part of other training programs. The language teacher's duties include teaching, group management, curriculum work, and development of basic education. We expect language teachers to use inspiring and student-centered teaching methods, teamwork skills, and initiative.
