We are now seeking a water supply facility designer to strengthen our team. In this role, you will work on water supply facility design as part of an expert facility design team and diverse projects. The work emphasizes practical design of facilities, combining layout, mechanical, and piping design, as well as project management. You will be responsible for: - Layout, mechanical, and piping design of water supply facilities - Sizing of machinery and pipelines - Preparing procurement documents for pumping stations and equipment assemblies - Creating control descriptions - Defining instrumentation - Preparing P&ID diagrams - 3D modeling of machinery and pipelines The role requires independent work and responsibility for your design packages. You will actively engage with clients, so understanding customer needs and implementing solutions is essential. Your projects will mainly involve municipal water supply, designing facilities that are a vital part of a functioning society. There may also be industrial water supply solutions, adding variety to the work. You will collaborate closely with other experts at Sweco and receive support from skilled colleagues. Your role will be tailored to your skills and interests. We operate across Finland in 28 locations, with your office potentially in Helsinki, Tampere, or Turku. Key to success in this role: - At least three years of experience in municipal water supply facility design, operation, maintenance, or industrial water supply design. - System knowledge: Vertex Flow skills and familiarity with other 3D modeling software are advantageous. - Language skills: Fluent Finnish, both spoken and written. - Work skills: Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team. You should have an interest in and enthusiasm for designing sustainable and reliable water supply systems. Willingness to develop, positive attitude towards learning, and curiosity are valued.
