
Engineering Manager System Design - GE - Noida, India
Job Description
The candidate should possess strong hands-on experience in power system studies, STATCOM equipment sizing, insulation coordination, harmonics analysis, and transient simulations using industry-standard engineering software tools. The role requires technical leadership, project coordination, customer interaction and mentoring to engineering team. GE Vernova delivers reactive power compensators such as Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM) and Static Var Compensators (SVC), on which we are the global FACTS Solution Line based in Finland, India, Brazil and US. These systems are used to control power system voltage and reactive power flow as well as to improve the power system stability and transmission system efficiency. The position is based in Noida, India with remote working flexibility. The role involves leading power system studies, developing simulation models, preparing technical reports, and managing a global engineering team. Qualifications include 14-18 years of experience in Power System Studies, with at least 5 years in STATCOM/FACTS projects, and a degree in Electrical Engineering. Fluency in English and strong leadership skills are required.
