Job Description
Join us in creating your life story. We are currently seeking a practical nurse to act as a director at Vaajakoski Validia Home. We are looking for a practical nurse who is enthusiastic about genuine interaction, building everyday life together, and supporting children's well-being. At Vaajakoski Validia Home, you will become part of a warm and professionally strong team where humor, collaboration, and caring are visible every day. Vaajakoski Validia Home is a seven-bed specialized child welfare unit that provides a homely, safe, and caring environment for psychologically and neuropsychiatrically symptomatic youth aged 12-17. As a director, you will oversee daily guidance, upbringing, and care for the youth, being present in everyday activities and walking alongside them. The work is planned and goal-oriented, based on each youth's individual care plan. We approach each youth individually and work with an emotional understanding, focusing on their needs and feelings. You will serve as the personal supervisor for designated youths and work closely with their families, social services, and other networks. Daily life is built around activities such as cooking, outdoor activities, and shared moments, as well as situations where challenging issues are addressed and resolved. The youth are supported in succeeding and strengthening their self-image and self-esteem. The work is a shared journey of growth and learning among the youth, families, and the work team. We value neuropsychiatric, attachment, and trauma understanding, as well as a desire to develop one's skills. The work involves three-shift work including on-call duties, and also includes routine domestic tasks.
