Job Description

We are now looking for an instructor for the child welfare unit Niittypolku in Nummela! At Humana, working with children is at its best genuine encounter, easing everyday life, comforting and bringing joy to others. Every employee of ours is a well-being influencer and a grower of life value. We believe that the challenges of every family and child can be solved with timely and appropriate support, care and education. Our activities emphasize responsibility, humanity and respect for individuality. Niittypolku's cozy premises are located in Vihdin Nummela, within easy reach. Niittypolku has two separate 7-place special-level units, Niitty and Polku. At Niittypolku, we provide a home-like and safe environment for children who have been taken into care. What kind of work awaits you? As an instructor, you support and encourage children and young people in everyday challenges and participate in the assessment of the child's care and education. You also act as a personal instructor. The starting point of the work is listening to the customer, respectful treatment and supporting participation. Work is always done in close cooperation with guardians, the local network, school services and social authorities. You can expect a job where no two days are the same! We offer you an interesting task that enables your professional growth. We comprehensively provide for your supplementary training and supervision. You have a local supervisor and a multidisciplinary work group as your support. With us, you can work with your own personality and make versatile use of your own expertise and interests in your work. You don't have to know everything right away, as we will orient you to the work. The work is full-time and permanent. Work is done in three shifts. We will agree on the start of work together with you. Why seize this opportunity? At Humana, we consider it very important to support our staff's development and career opportunities. In addition to our own comprehensive internal training opportunities, we can negotiate paid educational leave and the employer's participation in the costs of your education. Strengthening our expertise is an advantage for all of us! As a Humana employee, you are entitled to comprehensive occupational health care. Epassi's sports, culture and wellbeing benefit at Humana is 400 euros per year (when the working time condition is met). With this benefit, you can easily buy theater tickets and gym cards, or visit a dental hygienist! You get a value-responsible employer from Humana. We strongly believe in our opportunities to positively influence people and society. We are proud of our values: commitment, responsibility as well as encounter and joy. Salary The basic salary for the position is between 2723.92 - 2990.35 euros/month depending on your previous work experience. In addition to the salary, shift differentials are paid in accordance with the TES of the private social services sector. What kind of colleague are we looking for? We expect a degree in Social Services (AMK) or Nursing (AMK). The job description is built together with you and we strive to take into account your expertise and interests. We value previous experience working with children and young people, especially experience in child welfare work, psychiatric nursing for children and young people and child care and education work. The most important thing in the successful performance of the task is a genuinely customer-oriented approach; the courage to meet each customer as an individual from their own starting point, good interaction skills and flexibility in changing situations. Please note that the person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract required from those working with children in accordance with Section 6(2) of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993). The selected person must have a social and health care professional card at the start of the employment relationship. Next, we would like to hear from you! Seize the opportunity and send your application by August 9, 2026. We process applications during the application period. Further information about the position is provided by unit manager Minttu Päivärinta, tel. 044 780 4443, minttu.paivarinta@humana.fi. Please note that for security reasons we do not accept applications by email. Submit your application directly through our application link.
