Job Description
Seinäjoki City Youth Services is seeking a youth worker for a fixed-term employment from 30 July 2026 to 24 March 2027 (possible extension). The main responsibilities of the youth worker include managing and implementing activities at the youth space Pohjan youth space with your own team. The role involves network collaboration with other local organizations, coordinating activities at the traffic and mood parks, and planning and executing joint camps, trips, and events for youth services. We offer diverse work supported by a team. We require initiative, the ability to work independently, guiding skills, and good interaction and cooperation skills. Experience working with youth, skills in engaging with young people, and familiarity with networks are considered advantages. Qualifications include at least a basic qualification as a youth and community worker or other suitable degree. A relevant higher education degree or additional training in the field is an advantage. The youth worker role includes evening and weekend work and requires the use of a personal car. The working hours are 38.25 hours per week. The starting salary is €2591.22/month plus possible experience-based supplement. Other terms of employment are governed by the Local Government Collective Agreement (KVTES).
