Job Description
Join us in creating inclusive, fun, and innovative afternoon club activities for children. You are an enthusiastic team player capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Nano, a company providing club activities for children and youth, operates as a service provider for the cities of Helsinki and Vantaa. Nano organizes afternoon activities for school-aged children aged 7-8 years old, with groups at a total of fourteen schools. We are seeking an afternoon activity supervisor for the Ylästö School group in Vantaa. The supervisor will lead a team of five staff members. Key skills for this role include excellent communication skills, good organizational ability, and strong experience in guiding children’s groups. Experience working with children requiring special support is considered an advantage. The supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the club. Their task is to motivate and support team members to achieve the best possible outcomes. The supervisor must have experience in guiding children’s groups to provide guidance and assistance to other supervisors when needed. The club’s activities are planned in collaboration with Nano’s regional supervisor and team members. The role also includes planning and implementing communication with parents and collaborating with school staff. Nano’s afternoon club activities are well-organized and clear. Our goal is for children to enjoy their time at the club, engage in meaningful activities, and perceive their supervisors as safe and competent adults. As group activities are central, group management skills are essential. The applicant should be fun and motivating, yet firm and able to set boundaries. A typical day includes outdoor activities, snacks, homework, and varied hobby activities. We offer children several hobby options daily, such as sports (ball games, dance, and movement games), crafts, and art activities. Our aim is to create a diverse activity program. The club operates from 12:00 to 17:00. The supervisor’s working hours are from 11:00 to 17:00, totaling 26-30 hours per week. If you are energetic and interested in working with children, join our lively and cheerful team! Applications should be sent by email to riia.luoma@nanokerhot.fi by June 5, 2026. Inquiries: Riia Luoma, phone: 050-309 4800, email: riia.luoma@nanokerhot.fi
