Youth Worker - Mäntsälän kunta - Remote - Global

Mäntsälän kunta is seeking a youth worker for a six-month fixed-term position in youth services from September 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027, or as agreed. The role involves coordinating the Finnish model of hobbies and developing cultural youth work. The youth worker will promote well-being, participation, and recreational opportunities for children and youth in collaboration with schools, cultural services, associations, and other partners. Responsibilities include organizing activities, quality development, ensuring accessibility, reporting, and managing projects and grants. The role emphasizes collaboration with basic education and hobby organizers, and developing cultural youth work through arts, music, media, and events. The position also involves strengthening youth participation, planning, implementing, and evaluating youth services, and working actively in networks with educational, cultural, and local organizations. The ideal candidate has a relevant higher education degree or equivalent, experience in youth work, hobby activities, or cultural work, and good communication and networking skills. The role requires a development-oriented, solution-focused approach, initiative, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft 365. Knowledge of the Hellewi system is an advantage. The salary is 2933.99 EUR/month, with possible experience-based additional pay. The position is full-time, 38.25 hours/week, with a three-month trial period.
