Drive sustainable process improvements that will reduce costs and increase efficiencies in the converting operations. Provide process engineering support for converting presses and supporting equipment. Develop and implement processes, methods, tooling, and machine modifications for Inlay manufacturing. Analyze the thermal printing and inkjet printing processes and develop controls to ensure reliable operation. Be a change agent—challenge old ways and implement breakthrough improvements. Investigate failures to identify root causes. Continually improve processes to increase quality, throughput, and reduce costs using lean/sigma tools. Define and establish best practices in strap attach and converting processes. Provide on-machine expertise to operators and technicians to meet delivery and performance targets. Assist in managing AFE creation and expense plans. Develop solutions for manufacturing process problems. Evaluate, test, and qualify new equipment and processing strategies for transfer to production. Develop test methods for new products, materials, and procedures. Manage projects, identify key control points, and coordinate with teams to ensure schedule and budget adherence. Other tasks as assigned.
