School Assistant - Lapinjärven kunta - Lapinjärvi, Finland

At Hilda Käkikoski School during the 2026-2027 school year, instruction is provided at the Kirkonkylä campus for grades 0-3 and at the Porlahti campus for grades 4-6. The role of the school assistant is to support students requiring assistance in general education at the Porlahti campus, working collaboratively with teachers. The duties also include supervision tasks before school starts and at the end of the school day. During the 2026-2027 school year, two school assistants, a principal, classroom teachers, and a comprehensive special education teacher will work at the Porlahti campus. The position requires initiative, excellent teamwork skills, a flexible and active work attitude, and resilience under pressure. Experience in guiding groups of children and working with older elementary students is preferred. First aid skills are considered an advantage. The position is part-time, 28 hours per week. Qualifications include a school assistant qualification, a relevant social and health care basic degree, or an equivalent qualification, or previous school-level education (Social Welfare Act, Section 8). The position may be filled with an ineligible applicant if suitable candidates are not available. Lapinjärvi municipality is a smoke-free workplace. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract in accordance with the Criminal Records Act, Section 6, subsection 2.
