Structural Analysis Engineer - Forcit Group - Tampere, Finland

FORCIT is a leading manufacturer of explosives and defense systems, employing about 750 people. We are seeking an experienced and analytical structural analysis engineer in Tampere to join our product development/design team. The role involves performing structural, stiffness, and fatigue analyses using numerical methods to ensure product safety, performance, and material-optimized design early in development. Key tasks include simulation and analysis (linear and nonlinear statics, dynamics, fatigue), FEM modeling (mesh creation, boundary conditions from CAD), interpreting results, reporting, and providing design improvement suggestions, as well as optimization and verification of calculations. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Physics, with strong theoretical knowledge of strength theory, materials, and FEM, experience with commercial FEM software like Abaqus, and fluent Finnish and English skills. Advantageous skills include CFD, multiphysics, or explosive effect simulations, and military service completion.
