The Tritonia Science Library is a separate unit of the University of Vaasa, providing library and information services as well as open science services to the University of Vaasa, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences, and Yrkeshögskolan Novia's Vaasa and Pietarsaari units. We are now seeking an information specialist for Tritonia on a permanent basis, starting 1.8.2026 or as agreed. Your role involves teaching and guiding information retrieval, including systematic searches, in Finnish and English for students and R&D needs at Vaasa University of Applied Sciences and the University of Vaasa. You will participate in producing and developing data management services, support students, researchers, R&D actors, and projects in data management planning and implementation, and contribute to the development of information retrieval education. You may also substitute for other information specialists in teaching, guidance, and support tasks. Additional duties include participation in Tritonia's publication services, layout, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences' Justus publication data storage, information service and advice, collection work, library guides maintenance and development (LibGuides).
