We are looking for an enthusiastic early childhood education teacher for a group of children under 3 years old at Livornonkatu Daycare. The daycare, located in Jätkäsaari, has good transport connections, accessible by three trams and a short walk from the metro. It has 7 groups with about 107 children in total. The staff consists of 20 people, with a structure of 2 teachers or 1 teacher and 1 social pedagogue and 1 child caregiver per group. The daycare has been operating since 2021, with a reasonably large yard and many nearby playgrounds for excursions. We focus on small group activities, children's participation, and collaborative leadership, involving all staff in decision-making and activities. We also organize many trips, such as to Jätkäsaari Library. We seek a dedicated early childhood education teacher who works wholeheartedly, values teamwork, is sensitive, and aims to create a good day for children every day. As a teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive culture and learning environment, planning, implementing, developing, and evaluating pedagogical activities, and supporting individual learning according to Helsinki's early childhood education and preschool curriculum, unit plans, and child's Vasu. Requirements include a degree in early childhood education or an equivalent qualification, proficiency in Finnish, a valid criminal background check, and a tuberculosis test.
