Job Description
Hello, interested in assisting work? Join the team of happy people and do important, customer-oriented work in assistant services on a permanent basis! As a personal assistant, you help our clients live their own full lives. Onni's clients are individuals who need help with daily tasks due to illness or disability. You assist with household chores and activities outside the home. The clients may vary and have different levels of need, and your tasks are always based on the client's condition and individual assistance requirements. The work is diverse and may include multiple clients and tasks within the same day if desired. You do not need formal training or previous experience; a positive attitude towards assisting work, willingness to learn, and customer-oriented approach in various situations are sufficient. All new assistants will receive comprehensive training in Onni's own Assistant Academy before starting work, and training continues as needed during employment. You will receive ongoing guidance and support from your team supervisor, so you will never be alone with questions or work-related challenges. The work is mainly performed in two shifts on weekdays and weekends. Shift lengths vary from two hours upwards, and a workday may consist of one or more different clients. You can influence your shifts and work part-time or on a gig basis in a way that best suits your life situation. We consider both our clients' assistance needs and our assistants' work preferences to match them as well as possible. The first shift for a client may be an orientation shift if needed, after which both the assistant and the client can evaluate the cooperation and compatibility. If later you feel something is concerning or not functioning as planned, we will discuss and find a suitable solution. If you wish, you can work for multiple clients at Onni, with schedules coordinated accordingly. We require B2-level Finnish language skills. Swedish language skills are an advantage. A driver's license and access to a car are needed if necessary. You must be of legal age. We offer comprehensive training (more info) and opportunities for professional development (more info). A cheerful and professional team to share daily life and support you. Diverse employee benefits from the Tradeka Group (more info). Membership in the Tradeka health fund after the probation period if working at least 10 hours/week and employment lasts at least 6 months (more info). Salary according to the private social services sector collective agreement (G15A): €12.79 - €14.06/hour + possible shift allowances. Would this be your new job? Applying is easy and takes only a few minutes, so send your application today! The application deadline is May 31, 2026. We will interview applicants during the application period and agree on start dates flexibly. Applicants must present a criminal record extract as required by the Social and Health Care Supervision Act, starting from January 1, 2025. If you have questions, feel free to contact team supervisor Anni Juvonen at anni.juvonen@onnion.fi.
