A man with visual impairment (born in 1938) is seeking a personal assistant substitute for the period from July 1 to August 2. Initially, the position is a summer substitute, but there may be an opportunity to continue later. The assistant is sought to be an independent daily life enhancer and companion. Assistive devices used include: Rollator, crutches, audiobook listening device, hearing aids, and sunglasses. The job tasks include household chores, planning grocery shopping together with the employer, assisting with dressing (e.g., putting on shoes, buttoning shirts), helping during errands (e.g., ordering audiobooks online, discussing current topics, ordering a taxi, and shopping with the employer by taxi), cooking, reading mail aloud if needed, and outdoor activities according to the employer’s stamina (at least sitting outside on a bench). Work days are at least every other day. Working hours are flexible between 9:00 and 17:00, depending on planned activities for the day. The employer’s home has previously been smoked in, but now the employer is a non-smoker. Salary is €13.23/hour. The employer is a member of the Heta union.
