Job Description
We are hiring nine practical nurses for the Resource Pool in the areas of Kirkkonummi, Raseborg, Hanko, Inkoo, and Siuntio. As a practical nurse in the Resource Pool, you will cover for other practical nurses during planned and sudden absences. Your workday will consist of client work in various environments, including home care and residential services. In addition to scheduled visits, you will participate in emergency response visits during night shifts, for which you will receive separate training. The role requires the ability to adapt to changing situations and good teamwork skills. We hope you meet people calmly and empathetically and can quickly assess the client’s situation and care needs. Previous first aid experience is considered an advantage. We require that you can operate independently based on the shared operational models and guidelines of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services. Agile learning of the necessary systems is considered an advantage. Workplace name and address: Home Care Resource Pool, various locations within Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services Working hours: 38.25 hours/week, shift work (3-shift system) The position is permanent. Qualifications: To operate under the title of Practical Nurse, you must have the right to use a protected professional title suitable for the role and hold a valid medication administration license or complete it at the start of employment. The role requires fluent spoken and written Finnish. Swedish language skills are desirable in the western regions. A driver’s license is mandatory. The role requires vaccination protection according to section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and tuberculosis screening according to section 55 of the same act. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract relevant for working with elderly persons, in accordance with section 28 of Act 741/2023. Candidates may be asked to provide a drug test certificate in accordance with the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services’ substance abuse program. We are agents of change.
