Job Description
We are seeking a full-time part-time teacher for physical education and home economics at our school for the academic year 2026-2027. Your duties include teaching physical education to students in grades 6-9 and home economics to students in grades 7-9. The students are from Harjunrinne Middle School and Pohjolanrinne Middle School. You will have at least the number of hours corresponding to full-time employment. Harjunrinne and Pohjolanrinne schools are grades 6-9 middle schools. At Harjunrinne School, there are approximately 450 students and about 55 staff members. Our learning environments, pedagogical solutions, and professional staff provide excellent opportunities to work as part of a multidisciplinary community. The city’s flagship projects in robotics and active international activities are visible in our daily teaching and club activities. We expect you to have the qualification according to the decree 986/1998 on teaching qualifications. If qualified applicants are not available, we will consider other candidates. We value good communication skills and the ability to engage, guide, and support diverse teaching groups and students. Experience and interest in international activities and robotics, which are central to our daily work, are considered an advantage. Your salary consists of a task-specific salary, which for a qualified teacher is €3,220.91/month plus a TVA supplement of €215.89/month. You may also be eligible for an annual supplement based on work experience, as well as additional allowances for specific tasks and locally agreed allowances. You must present a criminal record extract related to working with children and young people, according to law 504/2002. The start and duration of employment depend on the applicant’s qualifications. The trial period is 5-6 months. The application deadline is June 3, 2026, at 15:00. Interviews may be conducted during the application period.
