How does starting a new job this year sound? We are looking for a full-time care assistant for a temporary position at a unit for severely disabled persons in Riihimäki. The start date can be immediate or in May 2026, based on your preference. The position will last through the summer until September, with the possibility of extension depending on the unit's needs. The location is in Riihimäki. The facility includes units for both individuals with developmental disabilities and severe disabilities. This temporary position is in a unit for severely disabled persons (neurological and physical disabilities), involving physical care work similar to a hospital environment. In this role, you will work on varied tasks, utilizing your skills in basic care and guidance work. The unit provides housing and care services for disabled individuals, supporting their daily lives with a rehabilitative approach. The work involves two-shift rotation throughout the week, Monday to Sunday, with full working hours available. Requirements: You can be a qualified care assistant registered with Valvira or a recent graduate. We especially value the ability to work independently and strong communication skills. You should also have valid medication rights or be prepared to obtain them. Experience working with disabled persons is preferred. Applicants must have a vaccination certificate and hygiene pass in accordance with infectious disease legislation. Due to legal changes, those working with elderly clients must present an acceptable criminal record extract as specified in section 6, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act. This requirement applies to temporary positions exceeding three months.
