Logistics Teacher at KAO Kuusamo - Kajaanin kaupunki

We are seeking a logistics teacher for the Kainuu Vocational College Kuusamo unit, for a permanent position starting on August 1, 2026, or as agreed. Your duties include competency-based teaching and guidance work for secondary vocational education students. You will primarily be responsible for teaching and guiding professional subjects related to the basic qualification in logistics, as well as traffic education and its organization. You will also serve as a mentor. As a teacher, you will be part of the technical field team. Our teaching and guidance work is planned and implemented in collaboration with staff and working life, so we value good teamwork skills. We especially hope you are inspiring, encouraging, and respectful towards students of various backgrounds. We require a valid CE driving license and a professional qualification in the transportation sector, as well as a traffic instructor qualification. Additionally, you should have proficient skills in basic ICT tools and online learning environments. A relevant higher education degree, diverse practical work experience in the field, teaching experience, and good connections to working life are considered advantages. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998 (amended 1150/2017) concerning teachers of vocational modules. The position may be filled temporarily if no qualified applicant is found. Priority will be given to laid-off and part-time employees of the City of Kainuu, employees under threat of layoff, and those under work suspension, provided they meet the qualification requirements. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued within the last 12 months, a medical certificate of health, and upon request, a drug test certificate.
