Chief Financial Officer, Osuuskauppa Varuboden-Osla - Suomen Osuuskauppojen Keskuskunta - Vantaa, Finland

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer for Osuuskauppa Varuboden-Osla in a full-time position in Vantaa. Varuboden-Osla (VBO) is a bilingual cooperative owned by over 74,000 members, operating along the Uusimaa coast and on Åland. Our workforce includes approximately 1,000 service professionals across fifty locations. Our network includes grocery stores (S-market, Sale, Prisma), traffic stores (ABC), restaurants (Rosso, Hesburger, Amarillo, Bacaro Doppio), and specialty stores (Sokos, Emotion). We provide standard jobs, but take exceptional care of our staff, and VBO has received the 'Most Inspiring Workplace' award for several years. As Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for VBO's financial matters and lead the finance team. Your duties include financial reporting and development, budgeting, and forecasting. You will also act as a business partner and bring financial insights into management decision-making. Our focus is on working with integrity for the benefit of our customers. Key responsibilities include supervising and developing the finance team, overseeing monthly and annual reporting and analysis with the team, leading and developing the forecasting and annual planning processes with the team and business units, conducting analyses and reporting to support business operations, and promoting strategic development projects and improving reporting and financial processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders. We hope you have: A relevant higher university degree (e.g., in accounting, finance, or equivalent), at least 5 years of experience in demanding financial roles, comprehensive understanding of financial management and strong skills in financial control, budgeting, and forecasting, leadership experience, an analytical approach, ability to see the big picture, and good collaboration and communication skills. Proficiency in both native languages is valued.
