Registered Nurse - Etelä-Savon hyvinvointialue - Mäntyharju, Finland

The wellbeing services county of South Savo (Eloisa) is seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position at the Ruskahovi service center in Mäntyharju, starting August 10, 2026, or by agreement. Ruskahovi service center in Mäntyharju provides 38 24-hour residential places for elderly people, 10 community living places, and 4 respite care places for elderly people cared for by family caregivers. The service center also provides day activities and gym groups on weekdays. The registered nurse will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team for elderly residential services. Nurses are responsible for the holistic care of clients according to the care and service plan. Our services are based on respecting the elderly, honoring their right to self-determination, and responding to individual needs. We hope for expertise particularly in the care of elderly and memory-impaired clients. You are genuinely interested in elderly care and your approach supports the maintenance of functional capacity. The work requires the ability to work independently, flexibility and creativity in changing conditions, responsibility, good interaction and cooperation skills, and initiative. Shift requests are well considered, and if necessary, you can work long 14-hour shifts, which increases the number of days off. Eligibility requirements include a Bachelor of Nursing degree or a previous college-level degree, as well as legalization in accordance with the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/94). Additionally, sufficient oral and written Finnish language skills are required for the performance of the duties. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the employment relationship. A person working with the elderly must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work in employment relationships exceeding 3 months (Supervision Act 741/2023 section 28).
