Job Description
In this role, you will have a tangible impact on clients' well-being through planned, goal-oriented, and evidence-based group activities. Your tasks include working in rehabilitative day activities aimed at elderly clients, providing preventive and functional support group activities. You will lead groups and implement content that supports functional capacity, such as strength and balance exercises, outdoor activities, and memory and cognitive training. You will collaborate with another practical nurse and be part of a guiding team responsible for planning activities and assessing clients' functional capacity in cooperation with other staff. Activities are planned based on these assessments. Flexibility, adaptability, quick response to changing situations, good communication and group leadership skills, and self-direction are emphasized. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including clients' relatives, home care, informal care, service coordination, and transportation services. The work is daytime work on weekdays. We offer meaningful work in elderly rehabilitative day activities, with opportunities to develop skills in group guidance and supporting functional capacity. The work is planned and goal-oriented, carried out in cooperation with other unit staff, demonstrating how rehabilitative and planned group activities support elderly people's ability to live at home. We expect good oral and written skills in Finnish and Swedish. A valid LOVE medication license, experience working with the elderly, Pegasos OMNI and RAI expertise, and good IT skills are advantageous. The work in Kemiönsaari is divided between two units (Kemiö town and Dragsfjärd). The position requires readiness to transfer between units. The qualification requirement is a professional degree in social and health care (practical nurse) or a previous school-level degree in the field, along with a valid registration in JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers. Apply immediately and see the impact of your work every day. Recruitment is ongoing during the application period, and the position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
