Job Description
The position offers responsibility, expertise, and the opportunity to develop orthodontic treatment as part of a comprehensive public service package. Your tasks You will work in the oral health care unit of the Southwest Finland Wellbeing Services County in the Mynämäki area, which includes Mynämäki, Nousiainen, and Masku. Your primary workplace will be Mynämäki, with the possibility to work elsewhere in the Varsinais-Suomi region as needed. You will serve as an expert in your specialty and be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring complex orthodontic treatments in accordance with public health care principles. Your duties include assessing the need for orthodontic treatment for patients under 18, making decisions about treatment initiation, preparing treatment plans, and executing complex treatment procedures. Additionally, you will act as a consulting expert for dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants, and participate in planning and developing orthodontic treatment models and work division within your region in collaboration with teams and supervisors. The role also includes on-call duties for orthodontic treatment. At the Mynämäki location, you will work alongside a dental hygienist specialized in orthodontics, four dentists, two dental hygienists, and five dental assistants. The clinic is located in the city center at Kuivelantie 10, Mynämäki. Experience in orthodontic treatment for children and adults of different ages and good written skills in Swedish are considered an advantage.
