HVAC Engineer, CAM Factory Project, Kotka - Barona Teollisuus Oy - Kotka, Finland

We are seeking an HVAC engineer for the team at China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. for the CAM factory project in Kotka. China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC) is an internationally recognized contractor and leading service provider operating across the entire construction value chain in both the public and private sectors. CHEC is the main contractor for the Kotka CAM factory project and is responsible for the implementation and construction of the project. Your tasks include: - Collaborating with various design disciplines to coordinate HVAC design and optimize design solutions - Leading and managing the preparation, review, and quality assurance of HVAC technical plans - Organizing and participating in plan presentation meetings and approval processes - Providing technical support on-site and resolving HVAC technical issues during construction - Preparing quantities lists for HVAC equipment and materials and assisting in technical evaluation of tenders and procurement calculations - Proposing optimization solutions based on tender and implementation plans and overseeing their implementation. We expect you to have: - A relevant technical university degree - Experience in similar roles on large construction projects in Finland or the EU area - Ability to independently review design calculations and construction drawings - Good knowledge of European standards and Finnish building regulations - Strong communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural project team - Accuracy, initiative, and a solution-oriented work approach - Good system skills (CAD, Revit, HAP, and DUCT/PPIPE SIZER) - Fluent Finnish and English language skills. The HVAC systems in the project include district heating, cooling water and chilled water systems, dehumidification, air conditioning, ventilation, smoke extraction, and process exhausts.
