Family Therapist, Parenting and Family Counseling, Oulu - Pohjois-Pohjanmaan Hyvinvointialue - Oulu, Finland

We are seeking a family therapist for parenting and family counseling services for families with children. The workplace is located in Tuirasa, Oulu. We focus on preventive services, which are part of social welfare law-based parenting and family counseling work. As a family therapist in parenting and family counseling, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team. Families with children can receive services to promote the well-being, growth, and development of children and youth, as well as support for parenting. Employees in parenting and family counseling also assist families when daily life management and resource sufficiency are a concern. We expect you to have an independent work approach, good interaction and collaboration skills, as well as teamwork skills. We also hope you are interested in developing our work. The qualification requirement for the position is a license or qualification according to the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994) or the Act on Social Welfare Professionals (817/2015) sections 3 and 8, or a relevant social and health care professional degree (practical nurse) or a previous vocational qualification in the field. Additionally, relevant further training in family therapeutic methods is required. We will verify original diplomas and work certificates from shortlisted candidates. Applicants must be registered in the register maintained by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Terhikki and/or Suosikki). The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified in section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (504/2002). We observe a probationary period of up to 6 months.
