As a doctor in home care and residential services, you will be responsible for the care of patients in the region's home care and assisted living facilities according to the updated medical service model. Your work is practical medical work, allowing you to maintain long-term patient relationships. Visits will be conducted as home visits to assisted living units and patients' homes. You can flexibly handle administrative tasks from units, the office, or from home. The new medical service model describes operational practices within which you can influence your daily activities. Successful care in this role requires the ability to collaborate across professional boundaries and to plan your time independently. You will be supported by the entire community of outpatient and residential medical services, which has extensive and comprehensive experience in elderly care, including prevention, dementia, and end-of-life care. Qualifications include a valid license to practice medicine in Finland. A specialization in geriatrics is an advantage. Additionally, good collaboration and interaction skills, proactive work attitude, ability to plan and manage your work, and interest in development and multidisciplinary cooperation are required. Furthermore, the selected candidate must have valid vaccination protection according to the Infectious Diseases Act (1227/2016) section 48 and a tuberculosis clearance according to section 55.
