Job Description
Fixed-term employment from August 3, 2026, to June 6, 2027. The fixed-term is based on responding to children's support needs. The position requires qualification as an early childhood education childcare worker in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). We value a development-oriented and sensitive approach, as well as good interaction and cooperation skills with children, guardians, and colleagues. Our work is guided by the Early Childhood Education Act, the national early childhood education curriculum, and local plans. Our focus is on continuous development and learning together. In 2026, development priorities include: - Language awareness and Finnish as a second language (S2) skills - Digital skills and use of pedagogical technology - Activities aligned with outdoor early childhood education The selected candidate must present an acceptable criminal record extract in accordance with Law 504/2002 (law on background checks for those working with children). The Infectious Diseases Act (Section 55) requires screening for tuberculosis risk when working with preschool children. The screening uses a questionnaire developed by the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health and an interpretation guide. Salary and other employment terms are determined according to the KVTES agreement. A five (5) month probationary period applies.
