Job Description

The North Ostrobothnia Martat is seeking a temporary replacement for parental leave for the position of Project Coordinator for the Marttapalvelut polku työelämään -project. The parental leave cover lasts until the end of 2026. Funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESR+), Action Line 4: Employing, Skilled, and Inclusive Finland, Specific Objective 4.1: Pathways to Employment. The goal of the Marttapalvelut polku työelämään project is to strengthen the life management and employment readiness of individuals in challenging labor market positions and to enable them to work in low-threshold jobs within various services developed in the project, such as home help, catering, and café operations. The target groups are particularly young people outside the labor market, the elderly, immigrants, and persons with partial work capacity, who face various challenges in finding their own path to work or education. These groups are offered guidance to improve daily life management and work skills, as well as tailored work activities. The project also aims to address regional mismatch issues in the food service and cleaning sectors. A model will be developed where participants can gain practical experience in the sector, such as home help and café activities, acquiring basic skills and work experience to improve their readiness to enter the labor market or pursue training. Project coordinators work as a team, and the current temporary position is for Project Coordinator 2, with the following responsibilities: Project Coordinator 2, with expertise in food, nutrition, and home care; guidance experience is an advantage. Responsible for developing and managing Marttapalvelut employment processes and service models, as well as overseeing practical work (food preparation and service, and home care tasks). Participates in project evaluation and communication. Contributes to establishing a sustainable model for Marttapalvelut and ensuring ongoing operations. Collaborates with another coordinator on onboarding processes, staff training, and guidance in work tasks. Develops and organizes group activities and conducts group and individual coaching. Qualifications for the position include: Expertise in food and nutrition, Appropriate education, Good interpersonal skills, written communication, and communication skills, Self-management skills and initiative, Motivated and positive attitude, with the ability to enhance the target group's self-efficacy, Experience working with diverse individuals from different backgrounds, Availability for evening and weekend work, Knowledge of Finnish language is an advantage, Experience or interest in project and development work is an advantage.
