Job Description

As a (Junior) Project Developer, you will support Polarnode's project development team in multiple projects. You will help advance various work streams of data center projects from preliminary studies to construction readiness. Your work may include mapping project sites and zoning situations, preparing for EIA processes, conducting network connection studies, and compiling investment materials. You will participate in stakeholder work with municipalities, authorities, and planning partners alongside Project Managers. Projects typically last 2–3 years and vary significantly in size. We seek an entrepreneurial and proactive individual eager to learn and willing to take on new, even unexpected tasks in a rapidly changing environment. You do not need to have ready answers, but we value a solution-oriented attitude and a proactive approach. When faced with a situation where no established process exists, you will investigate and systematically advance it. You are capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing incoming tasks. This role is suitable if you want to quickly get involved in practical work and progress to more challenging tasks at Polarnode. Fast career advancement and progression to roles such as Project Manager are possible if you demonstrate the right attitude, potential, and problem-solving skills. Candidate requirements include relevant higher education degree (e.g., technical or business sciences) – recent graduates and final-year students are also welcome to apply, 1–2 years of relevant work experience, entrepreneurial mindset, ability to work on multiple tasks and with various stakeholders, and good Finnish and English language skills. Additional advantages include interest or previous contact with energy, electrical networks, real estate, or infrastructure sectors, experience with zoning, permitting, or environmental processes, geospatial skills (QGIS, ArcGIS), and CAD design software (AutoCAD). We offer an opportunity to work as part of Finland’s leading data center development company on major projects, genuine development opportunities, potential for rapid career growth, a close-knit, flat organizational structure, a fast-evolving environment, and comfortable office facilities in central Helsinki with a flexible hybrid work model. The position is permanent and full-time, with direct employment by Polarnode. Your workplace will be in Helsinki, and the role may involve some travel to project sites. The start date will be agreed upon with the selected candidate. Please send your CV and application in PDF format no later than 26.7.2026 via the aTalent application system at: https://emp.jobylon.com/applications/jobs/370270/create/.
