We are seeking a temporary Early Childhood Education Group Assistant for a period from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The position requires enthusiasm for a sustainable lifestyle, nature, and environmental education. Would you like to work in Vihreä Lippu Daycare in Lapland? We earned our first Green Flag in December 2024 and were selected as the Green Flag Operator of the Year 2025! In Salla, we have one daycare with six children’s groups: two forest groups and four traditional groups. We are looking for someone to join our team! The Early Childhood Education Group Assistant works as part of the education team and participates in planning, implementing, evaluating, and developing the activities of the children’s group. The assistant’s task is to support the realization of individual children’s goals through assistance and guidance, and to enable other staff to work with individual children or small groups. Before starting the position, a criminal record extract related to working with children and a medical certificate of health must be submitted, in accordance with the law (504/2002). We also expect candidates to have fluent Finnish language skills. The employment terms are governed by the KVTES collective agreement, and a 4-month probationary period applies to the position.
