We are looking to hire Documentation Engineer to join the Thruster Systems business unit. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technical writing and can deliver high quality customer documentation according to the S1000D standard. As a Documentation Engineer, you will take responsibility for the documentation work in development and delivery projects. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, delivery, and support functions. Key accountabilities - Creating and updating instructions for our manuals - Development and management of documentation for customer projects - Creating documentation for new products - The content includes, for example, technical function descriptions, installation and maintenance instructions, lifting instructions and test plans - Leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and quality in documentation Qualifications - A bachelors degree or higher in engineering discipline is recommended - Education or work experience as a Technical Communicator or similar is a possible background as well - Proficient in English (primarily written) - Experience in using an XML-based documentation environment (preferably according to S1000D but experience in DITA is a good base as well) - It is preferable, but not a requirement, to have experience in illustration work - Experience in lifting and lashing operations is considered as an advantage You are able to - Act on own initiative, make things happen and accept responsibility for the results - Communicate clearly and professionally and write concisely - Work in a detailed and structured order and use a methodical and systematic approach to create documentation and to prioritize and plan work - Co-operate well with others, share knowledge, experience, information, and support others in the pursuit of team goals What we can offer With us, you will be offered a competitive salary, good benefit package, flexible work hours and good development opportunities in an international environment.
