Job Description
South Savo Well-being Area Eloisa is seeking a public health center doctor for a permanent position at the Savonlinna social and health center starting from August 1, 2026, or as agreed. We offer diverse work as a public health center doctor in appointment, urgent care, and sector work (maternity clinics and school health services). Your preferences are listened to, and the job description can be flexibly adjusted. You will work with skilled healthcare staff and be part of a multidisciplinary team with good collaboration across professions. The weekly working hours are 38 hours and 15 minutes. The role does not include administrative tasks. Part-time and hybrid work arrangements can be negotiated. If desired, you can participate in emergency services at Savonlinna and Mikkeli hospitals. Our salary is among the top in the country: Doctor / Trainee doctor, less than 3 years since licensure 7868.48€/month Doctor / Trainee doctor / completed YEK degree or over 3 years since licensure 8380.98€/month Specialist doctor, less than 10 years since specialist degree 9559.58€/month Specialist doctor, over 10 years since specialist degree 9962.08€/month We value our staff and offer comprehensive employee benefits, such as a 200-euro benefit for sports, culture, or well-being services, and coffee and tea at the workplace. Additionally, we pay a commitment bonus of 4000 euros. This bonus can be accrued by doctors who are completing the YEK degree or specialization service and commit to working at Eloisa for at least 12 months. The benefit package and commitment bonus are currently valid until the end of 2029. The eligibility requirement for the position is a licensed medical degree (Health Care Professionals Act 559/94, Section 4). Proficiency in spoken and written Finnish is also required. The role requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per the Communicable Diseases Act Section 48, and a health statement regarding tuberculosis as per Section 55. Before appointment, the selected candidate must provide a health status report. The employment relationship includes a six (6) month probation period. Applications must be received by the deadline.
