Job Description
Hello doctor, join the Solo team! We are looking for a full-time general practitioner for the rehabilitation department at Lappeenranta Central Hospital from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. Work unit and tasksThe doctor works in the general medicine rehabilitation department at South Karelia Central Hospital. The department has approximately 35 beds, 23 doctors, and usually 12 interns. The goal is to keep treatment periods relatively short, under a week. Typically, one doctor manages 10-15 patients.The purpose of the general medicine rehabilitation department is to efficiently treat and rehabilitate elderly patients to be able to return home, especially when their functional capacity has rapidly declined due to acute illness or injury.Patients primarily come to the department via emergency services. The doctor works as part of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for medical diagnostics and treatment. The team also includes home care nurses. Rehabilitation progress is monitored daily in multidisciplinary meetings. The doctor commits to working collaboratively with the team in patient care and department development.The doctor will receive strong multidisciplinary and collegial support and have opportunities to participate in weekly meetings.We require from you- General practitioner qualification- Specialist qualification- At least two years of experience in continued care ward work- Vaccination against infectious diseases as per Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act- Good Finnish language skillsWorking hours and compensationWorking hours are weekdays Mon-Fri from 07:30 to 17:00. The work is on-site.
