We are seeking a CNC machinist for Turku for our client in the metal industry that manufactures demanding components and assemblies for industrial needs. The work environment is tidy and production is based on practical expertise, quality and doing things carefully from start to finish. This is an established operator where machining plays an important role in production. In this role you will be part of the production where professional skill, responsible work attitude and a desire to produce precise results are valued. What does the job involve? You will be responsible for CNC machining on a Doosan Puma 5-axis machine. Doosan Puma is known as a rugged and precise machine suitable for versatile turning and milling. 5-axis work enables efficient production of demanding parts with a single setup, bringing variety and requiring good machining understanding. Your duties include: operating the CNC machine, making settings and machining parts; tool changes and preparation of machining; reading drawings and implementing steps accordingly; measuring parts and ensuring quality; possible program adjustments and fine tuning based on your skills; taking care of your workstation cleanliness and quality of work. The role suits you if you can work independently but also naturally fit into the production daily life. What do we expect from you? We hope you have: prior experience in CNC machining; experience in turning and preferably more demanding machining; ability to read drawings; fluent use of measuring instruments; precise, responsible and independent work style; readiness for permanent employment in Turku. We also value: bonus if you have experience with Doosan Puma machines, 5-axis machining or program modifications on the machine. Broader experience in metal industry production helps you ramp up quickly. What do we offer?
