Join Hyria! We encourage enthusiasm and success. We are seeking a building services technology teacher for a fixed-term position in Riihimäki from August 3, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The role includes teaching vocational subjects related to building services technology, guiding work-based learning, and developing the training. As a teacher, you will work with students studying building services technology. You will teach and guide future professionals on campus, online, and in other learning environments. You will support learners towards employment and further studies. You will have the opportunity to utilize your professional skills and to plan and develop training to better meet the needs of working life and learners. In addition to teaching, your tasks include personalizing studies to suit individual needs, monitoring progress, guiding work-based learning, assessing skills, and collaborating with industry partners. You will use diverse teaching methods and environments, incorporating digital tools and technology to enhance learning. Your duties also include multidisciplinary cooperation to support students' studies and well-being, and communication with guardians for minor learners. The work is mainly day shifts, and the primary location is Riihimäki. You are the right candidate if you have relevant higher education and substantial practical experience in building services tasks. Knowledge of refrigeration technology is an advantage. Qualifications according to regulation (A14.12.1998/986): a suitable higher education degree, pedagogical studies, and at least three years of practical experience in the teaching field, OR a relevant specialist vocational qualification, pedagogical studies, and at least five years of practical experience in the field. If no qualified applicants are available, the position may be filled temporarily by a candidate who does not meet all qualification requirements. If you have not completed pedagogical studies, we can support you in obtaining them. You may apply even if you do not meet all qualification criteria. The base salary for qualified teachers is €2,692.43–€3,694.67 per month (based on 1500 hours/year). Final salary depends on education level, experience, and other skills. Before starting work, the selected candidate must provide a valid health certificate and a criminal record extract as required by law (Law 504/2002). The position includes a trial period.
