Join our relief staff in resource services as a laboratory nurse/bioanalyst for versatile laboratory work and to be part of a multidisciplinary work community at social and health centers in Alajärvi, Kauhava, and Lapua, as well as health stations/health points in the region. The initial placement is at the Alajärvi laboratory. Start date is June 1, 2026, or by agreement. Are you looking for variety in your work and opportunities to work in different units? The purpose of the resource service unit operated by the South Ostrobothnia wellbeing services county is to ensure the availability of workforce during various absences in different units of our service area. You will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with different locations and thereby expand your professional skills. We are seeking a laboratory nurse/bioanalyst for relief staff in Resource Services for the South Ostrobothnia wellbeing services county, to perform sample collection, physiological tests, customer service, and analysis tasks in full-time and permanent employment starting June 1, 2026, or by agreement. Your duties include outpatient sample collection, ward sample collection, external research, and basic physiological tests (e.g., spirometry). Additionally, you will perform basic chemistry, hematology, and urine sample analyses at the Alajärvi, Kauhava, and Lapua locations. Our laboratory is accredited. The work is daytime work. We are looking for a motivated laboratory nurse/bioanalyst who enjoys customer service. Mobility between the laboratories of the mentioned social and health centers and health stations is required. We expect an enthusiastic attitude towards work, good cooperation and interaction skills, strong commitment, initiative, and the ability to act flexibly in changing situations. Use of your own car is necessary. We offer good orientation, opportunities to utilize and develop your professional skills, and to participate in daily operational development. Employee well-being and a positive work environment are important to us. The qualification requirement is a licensed laboratory nurse/bioanalyst (Act 559/1994). In the absence of qualified applicants, we will also consider bioanalyst students who are in the final stages of their studies as conditional candidates. Registration with Valvira’s central register of social and health care professionals as a protected professional title is required. Original education and work certificates must be presented during possible interviews. Terms of employment and salary are determined according to the SOTE agreement, with a task-specific salary of €2947.90 at the start of employment. A trial period applies to the employment. A drug test may be required from the selected candidate. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace. The position requires vaccination protection according to section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a certificate of tuberculosis of the respiratory tract according to section 55.
