Specialist Doctor, Emergency Department, OYS Psychiatry - Pohjois-Pohjanmaan Hyvinvointialue - Oulu, Finland

We are seeking a specialist doctor interested in psychiatric inpatient care for the emergency department at OYS Psychiatry. The unit is a 12-bed closed ward that provides emergency psychiatric assessment and treatment. As a specialist doctor in the ward: - Responsible for planning and executing patient examinations and treatment - Participate in the development of the unit's medical activities - A significant part of the role involves orienting, guiding, and training resident doctors and supervising medical students Administrative duties are not included in the role. The position includes on-call duties. Changes in the role may occur if there are significant structural changes in specialized healthcare. We value diverse psychiatric expertise and skills in family and network work. We expect the successful candidate to have good teamwork skills, an interest in developing activities as part of a multidisciplinary team, good communication skills, and proficiency in spoken and written Finnish.
