There are two fixed-term positions available for Teaching Assistants at Haukipudas School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role includes supervising morning and afternoon activities. The tasks are related to instruction within activity areas. Haukipudas School is a comprehensive school located in Northern Oulu. The school provides basic education for grades 1-9. In addition to general education groups, the school has several small groups and one Jopo-class from Northern Oulu. Approximately 860 students attend Haukipudas School, and there are 122 staff members. The school's activities are based on the national curriculum, aiming to provide high-quality, safe, and student-centered education. We at Haukipudas School want to promote students' overall well-being, learning, and growth into responsible members of society. The qualification requirement is a professional qualification in teaching and supervision of morning and afternoon activities, a practical nurse qualification with a focus on children and youth, or other suitable vocational qualification that includes pedagogical studies or education and guidance studies. Experience in working with children and youth with strong support needs, alternative communication methods, and various care procedures is considered an advantage. Good teamwork and interaction skills are also expected. The salary for the Teaching Assistant position is based on the job-specific pay scale and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,341.57 to €2,460.00. The actual salary consists of the task-specific pay and possible other allowances according to the Collective Agreement for Local Government Employees (KVTES). Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued under the Act on the Criminal Record Register (504/2002), Section 3, concerning work with children.
