We are seeking a skilled and motivated DESIGNER for our growing and capable design team at SATA Shipbuilding Oy. The designer will be employed directly by the client. The designer will participate in the preparation of steel structures and auxiliary project plans. You will work as part of SATA Shipbuilding’s strong design team, with good opportunities to develop and enhance your skills. Job responsibilities: * Preparing steel structure manufacturing and auxiliary project plans (including supports, lifts, transfers, and transports during steel fabrication) * Collaborating with production, project personnel, and other design functions * Participating in the production and maintenance of technical documentation We expect you to have: * An engineering or master’s degree in engineering (mechanical engineering or naval architecture) * 2-5 years of experience in design tasks * Proficiency in at least one well-known 3D design software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks) * Basic knowledge of strength of materials and structural mechanics, with genuine interest in these areas * Good spoken and written English skills * Collaboration and communication skills * Initiative, problem-solving ability, and a desire to develop * Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs SATA Shipbuilding Oy offers a permanent position in a skilled and experienced design team, with opportunities to develop your professional skills through diverse shipyard projects.
