There are six (6) full-time positions available, four in the group homes of Jakomäki and two as relief staff. If you are eager to develop a functional daily routine with a new team for our elderly residents, one of these jobs could be yours! We want the new service home to be full of vitality, passionate professionals, and memorable encounters. We aim to make it a place where clients, relatives, volunteers, and staff feel good to come. The duties of a practical nurse include basic care and assistance in daily situations, supporting residents' functional capacity and resources through rehabilitative care, acting as a responsible nurse, medication and wound care, real-time documentation in the Apotti system, conducting RAI assessments with clients, relatives, and the team, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and relatives. We expect you to be a licensed practical nurse, able to work in three-shift rotations, with a desire to develop and enthusiasm for new ways of working, understanding of dementia and its impact on functioning, and good communication and cooperation skills. We are hiring practical nurses for four teams: somatic group home Usva, cohort group home Sinisiipi, and dementia group homes Ruska and Kuura. All residents are multi-ill, many with dementia diagnoses and using mobility aids. Relief staff work flexibly across the different group homes. The work is in two-shift rotation. Interviews are held separately as group interviews at Vuorensyrjä service home on June 4-5 and June 10-12 from 3 pm, lasting about 1.5 hours. We ask for references in the application. We may also recruit for other upcoming practical nurse positions in senior centers and service homes. The eligibility requirement is a practical nurse degree and registration with the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira). Good spoken and written Finnish is required. Before the decision, the applicant must provide a health assessment, drug test certificate, vaccination against infectious diseases, and tuberculosis screening. The LOP/LOVe LOP drug license must be completed by the end of the trial period. The selected person must provide a criminal record extract before starting work. Experience working with the elderly, knowledge of RAI assessment system and Apotti system, and valid Lääkeluvat are advantageous.
