Barista / Café Worker - ISS Palvelut Oy - Helsinki, Finland

We are currently looking for a BARISTA / CAFÉ WORKER at our key client site located in the city center of Helsinki, easily accessible by public transport. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a high-quality café serving internal clients at an office location. You will prepare various specialty coffees and other offerings, ensure attractive product displays, and maintain the functionality of coffee stations located throughout the premises. Our client also provides lunch, and as part of your duties, you will ensure the cleanliness and availability of lunch service areas and the general cleanliness of customer areas when needed. The work environment is international, so proficiency in Finnish and English (speaking, reading, and writing) is required. You will create memorable service experiences with your positive personality and professional skills. You are proactive, responsible, a team player, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a cheerful attitude even during busy times. Your working hours are mainly weekdays from 7 am to 5 pm, but we appreciate flexibility and the possibility to work occasionally in the evenings or on weekends. The position is part-time (at least 60 hours / 3 weeks). The employment is permanent, starting on August 3, 2026. The salary will be at least according to the collective agreement for employees in travel, restaurant, and leisure services, ranging from €12.21 to €13.58 per hour depending on experience, plus possible overtime pay based on actual hours worked. We expect from you: - Specialty coffee knowledge; familiarity with different types of coffee and the ability to prepare them. - At least 2 years of experience in customer service and café work. - Hygiene passport. - Fluent Finnish and English (speaking, reading, and writing). - Excellent service attitude and understanding of high-level service standards. - Flexible, helpful, proactive work approach, and good communication and teamwork skills. - Good stress tolerance, effective organization skills, and a genuine smile even during busy times. - Basic IT skills; ability to learn new devices and systems, such as cash register systems.
