Job Description
Your work is visible in everyday life, where safety and trust are built through interactions. Your tasks You work as a practical nurse in family rehabilitation within child protection outpatient services, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You are responsible for assessing family situations and working according to the rehabilitation process in cases where families are often in crisis or require intensified child protection support. Families move into our rehabilitation apartments during the work period, and you support daily life in a safe environment. Our unit is part of the overall child protection institutions operated by the Southwest Finland welfare area. The work is guided by relationship-based approaches, systemic thinking, and goal-oriented change. The foundation of the work is mentalization- and attachment-based assessment and rehabilitation, as well as trauma-sensitive methods. You will work closely with the team and networks, with the child and family at the center, consciously strengthening the child's perspective. The position is primarily night work. What we expect from you We expect good communication skills, self-direction, listening skills, and the ability for empathetic interaction and discussing issues openly. Understanding attachment and trauma sensitivity are central to the work. Previous experience in child protection work is an advantage. The qualification requirement is a professional degree in social and health care (practical nurse) or an equivalent qualification. Good Finnish language skills are required. We will conduct interviews with applicants during the recruitment process.
