Job Description
Our daycare's daily activities are based on child-centered approaches, considering each child's individuality, interests, and support needs. Small group activities provide a safe and unhurried environment for growth, learning, and play. The focus areas include supporting language development and interaction skills, as well as strengthening the child's participation. Physical activity is an important part of daily life and supports the child's overall well-being. The nearby nature offers a versatile learning environment for play, movement, and exploration. The responsibilities of an early childhood education teacher include taking pedagogical responsibility for planning, developing, and evaluating the activities of the child group in accordance with the Lahti early childhood education plan. The role of an early childhood social worker is primarily to support the child's well-being, participation, and collaboration with families. We hope the selected candidate possesses the following qualities: A sensitive approach to supporting children's development, positive interaction skills for team development and collaboration with other actors. You are flexible and have skills in managing a group. These qualities provide a good foundation for delivering high-quality early childhood education at Karisto Daycare. The qualification requirement is the eligibility criteria defined by the Early Childhood Education Act. Experience in similar work is an advantage. Original certificates will be reviewed during the possible interview. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check issued under law 504/2002 regarding working with children before starting the job. The trial period is 5 months. The candidate may be asked to provide a drug test certificate. The Infectious Diseases Act requires those working with preschool children to assess the risk of tuberculosis transmission.
