The City of Äänekoski is seeking a Museum Assistant for a permanent position. The main focus of the Museum Assistant role is to handle daily operations and public services at the Äänekoski Art Museum and the Cultural History Museum as part of the museum staff. Responsibilities include customer service at museums, supervision, and tasks related to museum activities, communication, and office work. This is a new position within the City of Äänekoski organization. The Museum Assistant is part of a knowledgeable four-member museum team. Successful performance in the role requires good teamwork skills, computer literacy, and customer service orientation. The qualification requirement is a suitable higher education degree. Previous experience in museums, culture, or customer service is appreciated. Salary and employment conditions are determined according to the Local Government Collective Agreement (KVTES). The level salary for the position is €2,517.37/month (excluding general KVTES increases). The position is filled with a 6-month probationary period. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable health statement before starting the role. The position requires evening and weekend work.
