AI Specialist - Digia

Digia offers comprehensive solutions that help clients improve their business operations, utilize data better, and enhance customer experience. We are strengthening our team and are looking for an AI specialist for a new role in Tampere or Helsinki. The main task is to create value for clients in AI and data projects, including machine learning, AI, and model integration. You will develop solutions using machine learning and data analysis methods such as natural language understanding, computer vision, forecasting, deep learning, data analytics, and generative AI. As an AI specialist, you will work at the customer interface, planning how AI and machine learning methods can be utilized in various situations. You will design and implement solutions and methods both for PoC and production use, building prototypes or more production-ready applications to solve business problems or enable advanced analytics, for example, in data-driven management. We expect from you at least 3-5 years of experience in AI, data science, and software development, Python skills, and experience with other languages like C# or JavaScript. Experience with Azure AI services and Azure data platform components is required. Knowledge of AI solutions such as classification, time series forecasting, image or audio processing, and language models is essential. Practical experience with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and fine-tuning techniques is needed. Demonstrated use of generative AI models (e.g., GPT, Sonnet, Gemini, Qwen, Llama) is required. Practical experience with software development practices such as Agile, Git, container environments, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is necessary. Good communication skills and the ability to promote solutions in customer environments are important. Fluent Finnish and English skills are required, with Finnish being used in many customer projects. Experience in consulting and working with clients in the public sector, industry, healthcare, or finance is a plus. Full-stack skills, Microsoft Fabric knowledge, AI certifications, and security clearance are advantageous.
