Job Description
Would you like to do meaningful and flexible part-time work helping families in need? You might be our future helper! Whether you are a social and health care student, a retiree, or a professional with social and health care training, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to help with a big heart are what matter in this role. We are Hemby, a company boldly renewing home services for the elderly, children, and basically all age groups in need of assistance. We offer joy and security in our clients' daily lives, and our motto is: we help as if it were our own mother, father, friend, or child. What is a helper? A helper is a person who provides everyday assistance and companionship to a designated individual, such as a child. The helper supports the client with various daily tasks, such as outdoor activities, daily routines, taking out the trash, or simply being present and caring. Over time, helpers, clients, and their families can become close. Anyone over 18 years old, from students to retirees, can be a helper. The most important qualities are a proactive attitude and a genuine desire to help. We are looking for social and health care trained nurses to join our team to assist families. Our clients include children and families. In this role, you will support families in their busy and hectic lives by offering your valuable time to help with their daily routines. Tasks may include playing and outdoor activities with children or household chores such as taking out the trash. Sometimes visits may simply involve doing activities together, like coloring. What does the work of a helper require? A desire to help. Our helpers are united by a wish to spend time with those in need. In this job, you can genuinely influence the quality of our clients' daily lives, making them better and easier. What is the best part of being a helper? We asked our helpers, and they responded: "The unhurried meeting and friendship with the client." "Helping others and feeling meaningful." "Being part of the Hemby community." As a helper, you will receive: - Your own designated client, whom you assist with daily tasks and keep company - Flexible working hours that fit well around studies or part-time work. Typical work is 1-2 times a week for a few hours. - Competitive hourly wage: €12.79-€15.56 + additional benefits according to the collective agreement and holiday pay. - Good opportunities for advancement: You can progress to pro-helper or guru-helper status based on experience and positive client feedback, which may include a salary increase. If you have questions about becoming a helper, please email us at rekry@hemby.fi, and we will discuss further.
