Job Description

Family rehabilitation is stabilizing and rehabilitative intensive outpatient support. Working with families and supporting parents in their educational role, as well as finding and strengthening the child's and family's own resources, are central in this work. The rehabilitation periods are planned and implemented together with the family, taking into account the child's and family's specific needs. Our guiding values in daily work are respectful interaction, individuality, participation, and positivity. These values are reflected both in client work and in the work environment. The duties of an occupational therapist include assessing and supporting the functioning of children and parents, as well as strengthening rehabilitative activities according to goals. Family rehabilitation goals are developed in collaboration with the family, and as an occupational therapist, you support these goals and help break them down into smaller parts. A key role of the occupational therapist is to be intentionally present in the families' daily lives, where daily functioning is most visible. As an occupational therapist, you guide, model, and reflect on situations with families. As an occupational therapist, you provide consultation and reflection support to other team members through your specialized expertise. The work is planned and carried out together with family coordinators and the rest of the team, but you are independently responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating your own client processes. The occupational therapist's role also includes implementing network cooperation with families. Additionally, you develop your own work profile and professionalism. The peer group for occupational therapists consists of other occupational therapists from child protection units. We hope you are motivated, experienced in working in various networks, development-oriented, and believe in the power of positive interaction. We offer a versatile, challenging, impactful, and meaningful work environment, supported by the team, a family therapist, and a service secretary. We train our staff based on emerging needs, and you will also have access to personnel benefits from the West Uusimaa Wellbeing Area. Interviews will be held between June 8-12. Workplace name and address: Tuomarila Family Support Center, Talkoorinne 3, 02760 Espoo. Working hours: Shift work, including evenings and weekends. The position is permanent. Suitable education for the position: Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy. Requirements: Good interaction skills, ability to lead one's work, good teamwork skills, dialogue skills, and a driver’s license. Selected candidates will be asked to provide a drug test certificate in accordance with the West Uusimaa Wellbeing Area's substance abuse program. The successful candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act, section 6.2. We value experience in child protection work and working with families. We are agents of change. We boldly renew what needs improvement and preserve what works. We invest in the wellbeing of each employee and want to offer diverse benefits to our staff. We provide a lunch benefit and an annual €300 allowance for cultural, wellbeing, sports, or travel tickets according to your preferences. Additionally, you will have opportunities to develop your skills through extensive online training via Eduhous and Oppiporta.
