In elderly services, in 24-hour residential care, a permanent practical nurse position is available, with the initial placement at Mäki-Kevari Kauhava in Ylihärmä. Mäki-Kevari is a home for 28 residents. The work begins according to agreement. In 24-hour residential care, we emphasize a resident-centered approach, daily life individuality, and meaningfulness. Also, daily rehabilitation to maintain residents' functional capacity and resources, as well as high-quality end-of-life care, play a central role in our activities. We are looking for a worker oriented towards elderly care who values shared daily life with familiar residents and wants to utilize their personality and various skills in their work. In addition to good professional skills, we expect flexibility, the ability to work independently with clients, good teamwork skills, and a desire to learn new things. The work is on a three-shift schedule. The qualification requirement is a basic degree in social and health care, a practical nurse (qualification according to law 559/1994 or 817/2015). Registration with Valvira’s register of social and health care professionals as a protected professional title is required. Language skills requirement is good oral and written Finnish. Medication licenses must be completed. Terms of employment and salary are determined according to the SOTE agreement, with a task-specific salary of 2627.08 euros/month at the start of employment. A trial period applies to the employment. A certificate of health status and a criminal record extract according to law (741/2023) § 28 must be presented before taking up the position. A drug test may be required from the selected candidate. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. The position requires vaccination protection under Section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a certificate regarding tuberculosis of the respiratory tract under Section 55. Original educational and work certificates will be checked during the interview.
