Job Description
As a university lecturer in production economics, you will be responsible for curriculum development of the AMK and YAMK degree programs in production economics in collaboration with education and research coordinators. You will participate in teaching and supervision, contribute to the activities of the Industrial Management research group, secure research funding, and engage in networking. Read more about the Industrial Management research group here: https://www.turkuamk.fi/tutkimusryhmat/industrial-management/ WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU? - A doctoral degree in a relevant field (production economics or similar) - Strong expertise in production economics and at least five years of relevant work experience - Experience and evidence of research or project work and securing funding - Interest and vision for integrating education and RDI activities, and strengthening cooperation with working life - Fluent Finnish language skills and readiness to work in English in all tasks. Valuable skills: - Experience in teaching and curriculum planning - Experience in data analytics and simulation in decision-making - Experience in risk management and scenario work - Experience in industrial production, supply chains, or business management and development - Strong collaboration and interaction skills. We also value completed pedagogical studies of 60 ECTS credits, and expect applicants to complete these within a reasonable time after starting employment. Lack of pedagogical studies at this stage is not an obstacle, and we support the completion of missing studies. OTHER INFORMATION The position is permanent, with a six-month probation period. Salary for teaching staff is based on relevant work experience according to the Sivista University of Applied Sciences collective agreement. Work and entrepreneurial experience must be verifiable with certificates. Salary is also affected by: - A 4% increase for a doctoral degree and 2% for a licentiate degree - A 6% reduction for lack of pedagogical studies until completed - An 8% reduction for lacking the required degree until obtained - Technical field salary supplements depend on the job title and relevant work experience.
