Job Description
The role of a GL accountant involves managing a company's financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing accurate financial data to help guide business decisions. Responsibilities include financial reporting, maintenance, and reconciliation of the General Ledger and subsidiary ledgers, performing month-end and year-end closing procedures, preparing financial statements, maintaining internal controls, supporting audits, process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, budget support, and handling periodic reports to authorities. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA), at least 4 years of experience in general accounting, proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle or SAP), strong knowledge of IFRS or VAS, excellent English skills, high integrity, analytical mindset, attention to detail, and leadership potential.
